About Katie

My Mom says that I was always looking at things as a baby.

And when my mother, the “director of looking” as we lovingly call her on our long family road trips, would point something out for my sister, Dad, and me to take note of, little did she know that this was all I was doing from my perch in the back seat was… just drinking the world in with my eyes.

So it’s no surprise that I went into Art.

Here I learned that I wasn’t just interested in how things looked, but also how they held meaning. In my early days of art school, I learned about the art of the 60’s - art happenings and ephemera.

Here I was introduced to the idea that LIFE IS ART.
And I’ve never looked back since.

This is probably my favourite thing I learned in art school.

That everything, when looked at through the right lens, is art – the way the light hits the window, the way you dress or decorate your home; even brushing your teeth ;)

And ever since then I’ve been thinking and writing about art and beauty and meaning.

And I’ve been seeking ceremony for most of my life.

I just called it something else for a long time: community building, teaching, facilitating, gathering people together, convening, connecting.

And when I finally came to Ceremony, I felt like I was coming home.

Ceremony is a beautifully, sacred way to reflect someone’s inner divinity and meaning back to them. Whether it’s through an overflowing of love and joy at a Wedding or a Celebration. Or it’s courageously standing in your truth for all to see in a safe, Sacred Space.

Doing this kind of work feeds and replenishes my soul and fills my heart to the absolute brim

And I would absolutely love to share this with you.

Sound delicious to you?

Yep. Me too.
